Hillside Acres Retreat was established to provide the perfect vacation and getaway location. The retreat is the one place where you can experience unparalleled hospitality, great facilities, and outstanding lodging in a relaxing unhurried environment. It is the perfect starting point for your hill country adventure.
Our retreat has, six spacious, fully furnished cabins, all within walking distance of each other. All of our brand new, two bedroom cabins, are lavishly appointed, including all linens, dishes and pans. Each cabin has central air conditioning and heat, so no matter which cabin you choose, you are assured a great night’s sleep, with all the comforts of home. Each cabin includes a fully furnished kitchen, with refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, and all utensils. We have FREE INTERNET service to all cabins.
With a large HEB supermarket close by, located just 10 minutes away in Dripping Springs, you are encouraged to bring your own food.
We are 35 minutes from the Austin airport, 30 minutes from downtown Austin, and about 35 minutes from San Antonio. Our closest wineries are Texas Hill country (10 minutes), Solaro (12 minutes), and Bell Springs (10 minutes). All other wineries are within 30 minutes.
We are 5 minutes from the front gate of Pedernales statepark and 20 minutes to Blanco state park, both of which have great hiking, fishing and boating facilities.
Golf is available in Blanco, at Vaaler public golf course, which is 20 minutes away.
We are 15 minutes from Camp Lucy, The Barn or Horizon wedding facilities, each has been voted one of the best wedding and reception venues in the state. ( See our special rate for the 'The whole enchilada", we are the perfect place for the wedding party to stay)
Hillside Acres Retreat is set on 25 beautiful acres in the middle of Texas Hill Country. All major attractions are located within minutes of the retreat. If you prefer, you can relax, hike, pick vegtables from our organic garden ( In season), drink fresh water from our filtered rainwater collection system, go fishing, help gather free range eggs, or just relax at our retreat, with a pre-planned in room massage. We have wild Turkey, Deer and Roadrunners on the property, so if you are an early riser, you can catch a glimpse of any and all of these creatures.
We are the perfect place for vacations, meetings, small wedding parties,, family reunions, couples, or small groups traveling together. We have an enclosed pavillion, which holds 50-60, a covered outdoor BBQ shed, another large outdoor pavillion, which holds 125. If you are up for an open fire outside, we have a fire pit for roasting hot dogs, cooking smores or just chatting near the heat of an open fire.
